About

Myself (born  in Patna, India) is a Bio-scientist at Germany.
At present I am a researcher working for my PhD at Max Planck Institute for Heart and Lung, Germany.  I aim to work for society & mankind and I believe that scientific innovations are the best way to do so.

About my Research Work

Why do we age???? No one dares to ask this question. It has remained the biggest mystery for scientists accross the globe. I work on the puzzle of Aging and believe Aging to be the primary disease of all. I know many of you may disagree and raise your eyebrows but aging research has come far of its age and is no more an absurd idea but a question worth billion of dollars.

Scientists have been able to extend the life span to about 10 folds in yeast and three to four folds in C.elegans, and double to triple the life span in  in many organisms including mice, hopefully in Humans soon.

Many ethical concerns would be raised, but the quest for the mystery needs an answer, so that to age or not is our choice and not a compulsion.

My primary goal however is to increase the health span rather the life span. Most of the diseases now are beleived to be age related so a medicine that cures age may prove beneficial in curing these diseases. Long life would just be its side effect ;). Give it a thought and you would realise it.
